Humanities Day
Richard Cobden held its first ever Humanities Day last week – a very exciting new event in the school calendar which involves both a speech competition and an international fair.
Every child in the school prepared a speech on either a history or geography topic they had learned about this year and then competed in a school-wide speech competition. Congratulations to the Year 4 competition winner!
After school, parents joined us for a celebration of the different cultures in our school community. There were colourful, creative displays that the children had prepared, face-painting and delicious food and drink from around the world.
The day was a huge success and we look forward to celebrating this day again next year!
