Ancient Egyptian art – Year 3

As part of their new topic on the ancient Egyptians, Year 3 drew and painted some traditional Egyptian burial masks. These masks were used to provide the dead with a face in the afterlife and were also worn during sacred ceremonies and rituals.

The children carefully followed a directed drawing using a lead pencil, traced over their drawings with a black crayon and then used watercolours to complete the artwork.
