Year 3 enjoyed a workshop with an archaeologist from the UCL Petrie Museum, which specialises in Ancient Egyptian history. After finding out some interesting facts about the Ancient Egyptians, the children acted out the process of mummification, including hooking the mummy’s brain out of their nose! The children were allowed to handle some real Egyptian artefacts from the museum and they discussed what each object may have been used for in Ancient Egyptian times.
