Year 5 are learning about the ancient Kingdom of Benin as part of their ‘Out of Africa’ topic. Both classes visited the British Museum and viewed the Benin bronzes to gain an insight into the organization, culture and customs of this exciting period of African history. Since their trip, Year 5 have been debating whether these impressive artefacts should remain in London or be returned to Nigeria.
