Richard Cobden musicians participated in the spectacular Camden Music Festival at the Royal Albert Hall this evening, performing alongside over 2000 children. Our school choir joined the massed choir of Camden primary and secondary singers and our instrumentalists performed in the large Wider Opportunities band and percussion ensemble.
We were especially proud that one of our students sang a solo in the opening piece ‘Ode to Joy’ and a work composed by our Year 5 children, ‘This bus is on diversion’, was premiered!
All of the young musicians involved in the event were amazing and have worked so hard to achieve this level of performance – it was a truly moving and inspirational occasion and one which they will never forget. Congratulations to all of our singers and instrumentalists on a wonderful achievement.
