This week the Nursery children enjoyed reading ‘The Little Red Hen’ as part of their ‘Fairy Tales’ topic. While discussing the story, they were keen to debate whether the Little Red Hen should have shared the bread she made! The children drew pictures of the main characters and acted out the story together. In maths, they used slices of breads to explore fractions (halves and quarters). They developed their hand and finger muscles by rolling out some play dough ‘bread’ and then made and baked real delicious bread rolls! Yummy!
