In Year 1 music lessons this half-term the children have been enjoying exploring different ways of producing sounds on instruments (tapping, scraping, shaking, blowing, plucking). They have been learning how to play together as a class band and have been accompanying their singing with percussion instruments. This week the children have been developing their instrument control and musicianship skills by practicing stopping and starting sounds in response to visual signals. They have demonstrated brilliant musical focus and are becoming superb young musicians!
