National History Museum – Year 3

3 Rowan and 3 Hazel visited the Natural History Museum to find out more about their new topic, ‘On Dangerous Ground’. The children really enjoyed seeing the Earth Hall as well as the exhibits about volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis. The earthquake simulator, designed to look like a Japanese supermarket, was a particular highlight! The children also participated in an exciting workshop where they learned all about tectonic plates, used seismometers and even exploded a volcano! The children thoroughly enjoyed their visit and are excited to learn more over the course of the next half term.
