Children from Years 4, 5 and 6 had an action-packed Sports Day on our school pitch, filled with energy, determination and lots of cheering! Pupils took part in a range of exciting athletic events, including throwing, long jump, speed bounce and sprints – showing great sportsmanship and effort throughout the day.
Our Nursery and Reception classes had a fantastic time on the school pitch, taking part in a variety of exciting sports activities – from football to running and throwing games. The children showed brilliant energy, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the morning.
What happens when you mix bouncy castles, samosas, glittery face paint, penalty shootouts, crafts, and a rat that needs catching? You get an unforgettable day at Richard Cobden! Our Culture Day and Summer Fair was a joyful celebration of fun, food and community spirit – and it couldn’t have happened without the incredible support of our Parents’ Association, families, staff and, of course, our wonderful children.

We are delighted to announce that Richard Cobden has achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme, launched in 2012 and facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, which rewards schools for their commitment to the development of competition within school and across the wider community. We are thrilled to have been recognised for our success.
We’ve been learning to code with our school Microbits for a while, but thanks to our friends at CLC (now called AI Campus) – and a big thank you to Gillian! – we got to borrow some special Microbit Arcade kits.
These kits helped us make our own computer games! We tried them out, fixed any bugs, and then swapped games with our friends to play and share ideas.
Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 Netball teams for some brilliant performances in the Camden Schools Sports Association competition, held on our school pitch.
Our Year 5 and 6 football teams enjoyed themselves at the Camden Schools Sports Association Football tournament at Coram's Fields.
