Plants – 1 Elm

One Elm have been learning about plants as part of their final topic ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. The children have taken part in several scientific investigations such as observing water move through celery, testing whether cress grows better in the light or the dark and planting their own bean. They carefully planted the bean and remembered to give it plenty of light and water. They were amazed at how tall and how quickly they grew! Finally, they used their numeracy skills to accurately measure their plant and completed an observational drawing, labelling the plant’s features.
