Year 3 have been learning all about plants this half-term. The children carried out experiments to determine the main things a plant needs to grow. They were amazed to learn that when two bean plants are planted too close together, only one of them grows really well. This is because along with light, air, soil and water, plants also need enough space to grow and to be healthy.
