Year 3 visited Hampstead Heath to take part in a workshop as part of their ‘Stone Age’ topic. After exploring some Stone Age artefacts, the children took a walk back in time to the world of the Stone Age where there were no houses, shops or electricity. The children had the opportunity to develop some Stone Age survival skills, including building shelters and making fires. It was an exciting trip and the children really enjoyed being outside and using all their topic learning to help them imagine what life was like for Stone Age people.
