We had a wonderful celebration of books and reading on World Book Day. Children in KS2 classes buddied up with children in KS1 and Early Years classes to read and work together on different book activities. It was brilliant to see so many different book characters popping up around the school throughout the day! The children in Year 1 and Year 3 were excited to choose a book to take home and keep as part of the national ‘Young Readers Programme’.
Earlier in the week we invited parents and guardians in to read with their children in KS1 and Reception and the children loved sharing their favourite books.
