Year 1 enjoyed meeting professional flautist Aleksandra Henszel, who came into school to introduce the children to her instrument (courtesy of the Musicians’ Company). Aleksandra demonstrated a variety of flute techniques and performed different styles of music on the instrument. The children listened really attentively to the performance and were curious to find out lots of new things about the flute and about Aleksandra’s life as a musician.
