Year 2 went on a boat trip down the River Thames to see famous London landmarks. The children enjoyed spotting all the buildings we have been learning about in our ‘A Walk in London’ topic. They saw the Houses of Parliament, the Shard, Tower Bridge and the London Eye. The children were particularly excited to see the Globe Theatre after learning about William Shakespeare in Year 1. In our Geography lesson later that day, the children drew detailed sketch maps of the River Thames and the sights we had seen.
