In our final music concerts of the term, Year 4 and Year 5 performed to their family and friends on the instruments they have been learning to play this academic year. It was fantastic to see the progress that the children have made on the violin and recorder from their first concert in the autumn term.
As well as whole year group performances on their instruments, there was a performance from our Somers Town Sinfonia members, duets and trios from children who had taken their Music Medal examinations this term and solos from children having piano lessons. In the Year 4 concert, the children played the folk music that they had performed at the Camden Music Ceilidh recently and demonstrated some of the ceilidh dances that they had learned.
