4 Maple very much enjoyed their gardening workshop with Mr Smith this week. They learned about the Swedish scientist, Carl Linnaeus, and his work on classifying plants and animals.
They then had a go at classifying some live animals from the school garden, including worms, snails and woodlice! The children noticed similarities between these creatures and other animals and were able to use these similarities to group animals into families.
