Year 5 took part in the annual science challenge, which is run by The Francis Crick Institute in conjunction with Regent High School. This year’s theme was entitled, “The Climate Change Emergency: The World Is Not Listening.” The task was to collect and analyse data, then present their findings in a creative way.
The children carried out research on how much recycling is happening in their homes. They collected data and found an average number of items that were recycled by a Year 5 student. They rehearsed and presented a video to explain their findings. They also produced some excellent persuasive writing in the form of information posters to encourage us all to Reduce, Re-use and Recycle.
