Year 6 classes visited Hampstead Heath as part of their topic; Survival!
They learned about some of the local flora and fauna. They even tasted some edible plants such as wild garlic, which the children really enjoyed.
They were put to work, learning how to build shelters and light fires in the wild using natural resources. The shelter building required each group to work as a team and the children learned the value good communication in order to get the job done!
Despite the typical British spring weather, a great time was had by all.
