This website was last internally tested on 10 September 2026 against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standard.

The assessment was carried out internally by Richard Cobden Primary School using a representative sample of pages and downloadable content.

The review included:

• keyboard-only navigation;
• visible keyboard focus;
• the “Skip to content” function;
• zoom and reflow at 200% and 400%;
• mobile and narrow-screen display;
• High Visibility mode;
• a basic screen-reader navigation check;
• a visual colour contrast check;
• page headings and structure;
• link descriptions;
• image alternative text;
• a sample of downloadable PDF documents.

Keyboard navigation, visible focus, the Skip to Content function, zoom and reflow, mobile display, High Visibility mode and basic screen-reader navigation performed successfully during the manual checks.

Colour contrast was reviewed visually as part of the internal assessment. It was not measured using a specialist contrast-testing tool.

The assessment also identified the accessibility improvements described in the “Non-accessible content” section above.

This was an internal accessibility self-assessment rather than an independent third-party certification. We will continue to review the website and update this statement as accessibility improvements are made.

This statement will be reviewed at least annually and following any substantial changes to the website.
