  • KS2 Sports Day – Team Spirit and Sunshine!

    Children from Years 4, 5 and 6 had an action-packed Sports Day on our school pitch, filled with energy, determination and lots of cheering! Pupils took part in a range of exciting athletic events, including throwing, long jump, speed bounce and sprints – showing great sportsmanship and effort throughout the day.

  • Celebrating Culture and Community at our Summer Fair!

    What happens when you mix bouncy castles, samosas, glittery face paint, penalty shootouts, crafts, and a rat that needs catching? You get an unforgettable day at Richard Cobden! Our Culture Day and Summer Fair was a joyful celebration of fun, food and community spirit – and it couldn’t have happened without the incredible support of our Parents’ Association, families, staff and, of course, our wonderful children.

  • Richard Cobden Awarded School Games Gold Mark 2024/25!

    We are delighted to announce that Richard Cobden has achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2024/25 academic year.

    The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme, launched in 2012 and facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust, which rewards schools for their commitment to the development of competition within school and across the wider community. We are thrilled to have been recognised for our success.

  • Let’s Play with Microbit Arcade! 🎮🕹️

    We’ve been learning to code with our school Microbits for a while, but thanks to our friends at CLC (now called AI Campus) – and a big thank you to Gillian! – we got to borrow some special Microbit Arcade kits.

    These kits helped us make our own computer games! We tried them out, fixed any bugs, and then swapped games with our friends to play and share ideas.

  • Camden Primary Careers Day 2025 – Exploring the Future at the British Library.

    On Monday, 30th June 2025, our Year 4 pupils from Richard Cobden Primary School had the exciting opportunity to take part in Camden Primary Careers Day 2025, a borough-wide event organised by Camden Council, Camden Learning, and the Camden STEAM network. The event took place at the prestigious British Library in King’s Cross, London – a truly inspiring setting for young minds to begin imagining their future careers.

  • Author and Illustrator Workshop with Kate Pankhurst–Year 1

    Our Year 1 children recently enjoyed a fantastic workshop with Kate Pankhurst, a bestselling children’s author and illustrator, best known for her books celebrating influential women in history.

    Kate captivated the children with stories about the real-life heroes who inspire her writing. She spoke about her own ancestor, Emmeline Pankhurst, the famous Suffragette who led the campaign for women’s right to vote. The children were fascinated to learn how Kate uses her family history and passion for equality to create powerful books that make history exciting and accessible for young readers.

  • Year 6 Survival Skills Adventure on Hampstead Heath

    Could you survive in the wild with just your teammates, a handful of resources, and your determination? That was the challenge Year 6 Jacaranda and Iroko faced during their action-packed Survival Skills Trip to Hampstead Heath!

    From the moment they "arrived on the island," the children were immersed in a thrilling scenario: a tropical storm was on the way, and they had limited time to prepare. Their mission? Work together to build shelters, make fires, and learn how to stay safe in the great outdoors using natural materials, limited resources and their wits.
