Celebrating Culture and Community at our Summer Fair!

What happens when you mix bouncy castles, samosas, glittery face paint, penalty shootouts, crafts, and a rat that needs catching? You get an unforgettable day at Richard Cobden! Our Culture Day and Summer Fair was a joyful celebration of fun, food and community spirit – and it couldn’t have happened without the incredible support of our Parents’ Association, families, staff and, of course, our wonderful children.

The playground came alive with delicious food stalls offering a mouth-watering selection of traditional dishes lovingly prepared by parents (we’re still thinking about them), two bouncy castles in full bounce mode, and a fantastic range of activities – from Catch the Rat and Beat the Buzzer to book stalls, throwing games and an epic penalty shootout with staff in goal (still recovering).

Face-painting and crafts added colour and sparkle to the day – we had tigers, butterflies and superheroes roaming the fair, proudly painted and glittered.

It was a huge success, full of laughter, good food, community warmth and a lot of fun.

A massive thank you to everyone who was involved – the Parents’ Association, all the helping hands, our brilliant staff and – most of all – our children, without whom none of this would matter.

They had a blast – and that’s what it’s all about.
